About CCC Trading
While visiting Cameron Highlands back in the year 2000, the Penang-born founder, Mr. Chia Chee Chuan, discovered by chance the opportunity to start a business to supply second-hand carton boxes to local farmers.
After successfully setting foot in Cameron and as nature dictates, the fore-sighted Mr. Chia has envisioned a bright future for farming. So, with caution, CCC entered into a cooperation with a state agency to start its farming business at the nearby Lojing Heights in the year 2003.
Over the years with his fast-gained experience and networking, plus the geographical advantages at its operating base, Mr. Chia has increased confidence to involve himself in the downstream business. Hence when the farming business stabilized, he set up CCC Trading in the year 2007 to start supplying vegetable produce to the retail markets in the northern region.
The year 2013 was indeed a milestone for CCC where the group started to focus its expansion in the ever-demanding Singapore market by working with a Singapore-based agent. This was a very challenging move but also paved the future for CCC where its success has brought the group to a new height, a premium market having a higher requirement for food quality and security, a decision they never regretted since.
To address these market challenges, CCC has decided to deploy the following two strategies that have largely affected its future business direction positively:
To develop its own logistic fleet to have better control over its delivery turn-around and maintain product freshness;
To develop its own brand to meet market demand and requirements
At the same time, CCC does not neglect its upstream farming business, but instead continues to expand its farming acreage in tandem with market demand. It has expanded from a meagre farming land size over the last two decades to more than 100 acres of farmland currently. Indeed, CCC vows to continue to develop its comprehensive agriculture activities aggressively but positively.
